For a great idea to turn into a successful startup, it needs a sustainable business model. And here's where the Lean Canvas comes in.
Lean Canvas is used to help early stage startups answer the tough questions that come up when defining your business model, like who is your target audience? Or what are the revenue streams for your business?
In this one hour interactive session, you'll be introduced to the Lean Canvas by Cole Wollak and Luis Martinez. You'll leave with knowledge of how to build an actionable and entrepreneur-focused business plan.
CITE hosts the annual $100K Student Technology Venture Competition to give students hands-on experience as early stage entrepreneurs. Teams of interdisciplinary students work throughout the semester to develop a technology demonstrator and business plan to successfully develop a new company. It encourages intercollegiate partnership for senior design projects that can translate into new startup companies.
CITE $100K Student Technology Venture Competition: Pitch Preview, is for the participating teams to share their idea for the first time. Each team will have 90 seconds to pitch our panel. Our panel of judges, Magaly Chocano (Sweb), Alfred Mesquiti (DeckSavvy), & Chris Burney (SAAN), will then provide 90 seconds of feedback.
Lunch will be provided by Foodee. Please RSVP to secure your meal!
